Have any other Multi specialty clinics out there given thought to what their categories will be for the Medication Custom Lists. We're trying to come up with some and we where thinking about using the titles of our custom forms such as: IV hydration, Med Injections, OB Med Injections, Chemo Infusions, and Rheum Infusions. Or are we taking this down the wrong path?
We are multi specialty and have our custom med list set by specialty. Each has their own list such as ENT, Urology, Neurology....... When setting up the list make sure the provider will not have to go to multiple lists or they will not be happy. It was a lot of work at the start but now I only tweak them when a new medication comes out or they want the directions changed.
That's how we have it now, but that became a big issue because then our docs ~60 all wanted there own. We where thinking with 9.8 we could start fresh with something a little more manageable. We thought the specialty route would be good but then each location would have there own which would still give us a lot.
In 9.8 I'm talking about the Administered Med forms, which is separate from the Med custom list?
