The new CVS includes Reason for Visit and Chief Complaint sections. While these care often the same, what is we want to also include the OBS code VISIT_REASON as part of the Reason for Visit? I know it is already defined in out 9.8x system.
However, I am trying to think of a way to get this to automatically be completed.
Already, in the APPT record there is a field APPT.REASON that is populated by our scheduling software. But, inside of an office visit encounter I am trying to think of a 'trick' to pull this data and show on-screen and/or paste directly into the OBS code for the encounter.
Was thinking to do {APPTS_BY_STATUS("arrived","FULL") and then match to today. However, it does not appear from reading the Help files that the REASON is one of the elements included.
So, anyone have any ideas or tricks? Or, is there a better MEL programming command to use?
