We have been having all kinds of trouble getting the new immunization management form working on our terminal servers. The only way we can get it to work is by giving all users administrative rights. This is not a good solution. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to get this to work? Support is being very helpful with us. Thanks.
The immunization management form is simple HTML page running inside of web browser control.
It's using ActiveX control to communicate with MEL. Do you want to share exactly the "all kinds of trouble" and explain it a bit?
Any user other than an administrator gets a blank screen when the form is opened. No errors that I can find at all. We have centricity set with an application security model. I have tried lowering all the internet and security zone settings I am aware of but cannot find the answer to this problem.
I can think about few things:
- browser compatibility settings: add your server to the compatibility list ;
- Attach fiddler and see if the data coming across of wire. My suggestion is to connect to terminal server as full windows (as user) and see the traffic;
- Check the source of the blank page with the "magic keyboard button" (if you do not know what is the "magic keyboard button" for source code just shot me email to alex @mdobject.com there is no space between alex and @).
- I have a tool "mdObject Simulator" that allow you to load page right in the browser. It's in beta, but if other suggestions will not work, I will send you the URL for it.
Again, this is just HTML page on the JBOSS.
