Hi there, I was wondering what everyone uses or if they use anything to accomplish the following.
1. Patient sends medical records (Many pages) as one large file and needs to be broken down into individual files for proper identification and labeling purposes.
I beleive I recall a program that allowed you to scan in and identify while you were going through each page what the page was and associate a document type to it.
Please advise.
Thanks!
George
Most of our documents are received as PDF, so we either use Adobe Acrobat or a PDF printer to split the documents as appropriate. Acrobat gives our document management team more functionality, so those few people have Acrobat. The rest of the staff has the ability to simply print the selected pages to PDF as needed.
The new PDF is saved to a folder that is used as an input for the document management system and ultimately attached to the patient charts.
