Does anyone have a workflow process we can review for scheduling overbooked appointments? Our providers are asking about adding in a color dot or some other identifier into the scheduling template on appointments that front desk can overbook. I have not seen that ability in cps.
Does anyone have any insight or workflows they are willing to show?

You could do this by allowing double booking of unconfirmed appts (which are red in our system), which is what we have allowed when needed as those patients are more likely to no show. Or, if you wanted to overbook sooner, you could have certain appointment types or slots and select a specific color for them, indicating you will allow overbooking. It would take a little setup work, but it would be worth it in the end. For example, you could have two appointment types for consults, one of which is ok to double book. Maybe yellow for Consult no overbooking and green for Consult ok to overbook.
Hi thank you so much for responding. The double book idea, also red in our system, is something others had suggested in my org. It seems like the best choice for us.
