Hi All,
We are CEMR and are upgrading Live to 9.8.10 on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. One thing that we had heard about (recently) through the LA group is that flags and care alerts that are older than 1 year from the date the update goes Live are "removed" from the EMR. What GE clarified is that there is a parameter which was specified in a past release but never activated (...) that suppresses all care alerts and flags older than 1 year from appearing - that is the default setting. GE did state that it is possible to turn this off - my question is does anyone know how to disable/turn that automatic suppression off?
I was able to determine that in the database our old flags are still there (in Test) but I'm yet to figure out how to turn off the suppression of said flags/alerts. We have also reached out to GE but with are tight timeline related to the production update I was hoping someone here may have already tackled this.
For those of you that are just hearing this now - GE acknowledged that, as this was supposedly introduced in a past SP, they neglected to put this in the release notes. They did say they are editing the release notes to reflect this - not sure when that revision will be posted.
Thanks
Mike
I have not tried this yet, but you can take a look.
Steps for how to adjust flags/care alerts filter parameter for EMR / CPS Service Pack 10:
1) Locate the mldef5.txt within the EMR client software
2) Make a copy of this file for backup before editing
3) Open mldef5.txt using a text-only editor
4) Search for the following: Filter: withinLastYear
5) Note that the value is set to -12. This indicates 12 months of history will show
6) Changing this value will change the number of months shown. -24 will show 2 years of history, -36 will show 3 years, etc.
7) To show all flags/care alerts simply REMOVE the filter line from the mldef5.txt file
8) Save the file
9) Restart the EMR client and note the changes in flag/care alerts displayed
