Our practice is enrolled in a state initiative to collect and publicly report patient experience survey data using the CG-CAHPS PCMH instrument. Of the three participating survey vendors, none can accept patient demographic data in HL7 format. We are a private practice and do not have an interface available to manipulate the data. Has anyone else encountered this or come up with a solution? Thanks!
We contracted with Press Ganey to administer the CG-CAHPS survey for us. We use Qvera to pull the info out of CPS and then FTP it to them. I know you said you do not have an interface available, but you could use SQL to query the data, export it, and then transfer it to an FTP (or right a batch file to do all this for you). I would think the vendors you are talking to could help you with this. Is that not the case???
Thanks so much for the info. We actually have EMR 9.8 and CPS 12 for our PM and only CPS is on SQL. As far as I know the demographics, provider and visit date is all they would need so that might work to send it from CPS. I will share this with the vendors and see what they say, fingers crossed. Of the three I contacted, none had any suggestions on how we might work this out.
Thanks again!
