Hello, we are GE Centricity EMR 9.5. We implemented the
Patient Portal this fall and it did not take off very well. I've been assigned
to re-implement the Patient Portal. I am new to GE. My question for those who
have implemented the Patient Portal, how did you achieve physician and patient
adoption? What is the workflow process in the clinics from registration
creating the pin for patients to MA's, RN's and MD's/Providers working their
desktop? Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone using the patient portal? It's required for meaningful use.
I am on EMR 9.5, and did not even know that there was a Portal available.
So, not sure what that means. Perhaps indicative of GE not pushing whatever product you have.
It's through Kryptic which I believe is a sub-company of GE.
We have been using the Kryptic Portal for years. Our adopted process is as follows.
No open enrollment. Patient must have a pin number provided from us in person in order to register.
Our frontdesk and nurses assist in enrolling patients in the office.
We let patients know that all normal results are going to be sent by Secure Messaging and its highly recommended that they sign up.
Our frontdesk asks every patient to sign up.
PINS are generated by frontdesk, nurses, and some of the MD's.
