We have tested with a couple of different Laptops, I am asking for CHUG members to share with us what types of portable devices you have been successful with at your practices.
i'm interested in a centricity app
We have a few Surface RT's running citrix which we use to go to colleges. The scribe/provider carries a verizon hot spot along with them or connects to the secure wifi at the college if available. they are small, have great battery life, and a physical keyboard which make them ideal. The citrix app is a bit iffy though. The desktop application certainly works better. Remember, Centricity will not run on anything running windows 10 at this time.
Thank you so much for your response. Very good information and it is greatly appreciated.
I just updated my PC to Windows 10 and so far it is running fine. I think the main issues are with IE 11 with Immunizations/Medadmin Forms and SMPP but I do not use the forms and so far no issues with the SMPP sites.
I would not run it in production for a doctor or MA but for me it works well enough. I use it mainly to verify reports I write in crystal.
Last I head was that Win 8.1 was still not qualified to run EMR unless that has changed. If it has not changed, that means that GE is 2 Windows version behind.
so it actually worked??? It installed on my Surface but never started. I tried running it in compatibility mode and nothing still. Which version of CPS?
Not only is it two versions behind windows but it is also two versions behind on crystal reports as well.
Don't forget about this old thing:

I wish they would update it. I have lots of users who could benefit from it.
