When running a report in practice analytics that looked at total charges and payments for a particular year, we realized that some of our insurance groups had not been appropriately associated to a financial class. Those have been updated and the reports ran again with no change. I believe that this is because the charges and payments have already been posted and any changes we make now will only apply moving forward. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not. Thank you!

True. There are some areas where you can change and get updated results, like procedure groups/departments, but since the charges are approved, they are locked unless re-approved.
