Do prescriptions need to be printed on special paper or are there built-in security features in Centricity?
We use security prescription paper.
It depends on your state. Florida requires special paper with ID numbers pre-printed. There are some security features built into the standard Centricity prescription report, including spelling out of quantity and having "microline printing" as the signature line if your printer can print at a high resolution. If this works right, you see tiny characters spelling out "this is a prescription" in the signature line when it's magnified.
If your state allows micro-printing then you can use regular paper as mentioned. However, this was a change for the pharmacies we work with so took extended outreach with them before they would accept the plain paper. We were successful so now do use plain paper for those we print.

Like everyone else said there is some microprinting but it depends on the state. My state also requires special paper.
