We are an Ortho Clinic that is struggling with finding a workable format for our Problem List since ICD-10. Does anyone have anything to share with me that may help our physicians. Thank you in advance.
Joan
we found white plume. Web based, modelled after our ICD9 encounter form cross walk, click the ICD9 code and it walks you through finding the associated ICD10 with the necessary specification. We also use Code-X, and the ICD10 spiral rung note books.
We are using Blackbird Solutions for our practices. It is a much more user friendly search that prompts users for laterality, encounter type, alignment, healing, and any other applicable modifiers that impact the code assignment. This is a web based application that also loads the diagnosis codes back into the patients problem list. Our orthopods love it.
Good luck,
Angel
We purchased the ICD10 form from Data Drivers (Ortho NE in Indiana). The form helps the physicians answer all necessary questions and then supplies a DX based on their answers. We went this route due to the fact our physicians refused to attend ICD10 training so we needed something that could walk them thru picking the correct diagnosis as well as help them understand what to dictate as supporting documentation.
We are using Blackbird as well and find it to be very user friendly
We have an Ortho group also using Blackbird but they are struggling as they are finding the laterality, modality etc is not required so they click a lower code and move on.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Which interface are you guys using to import the diagnoses into the patients problem list?
Thanks!
Jbell, we are also using Blackbird and have asked them to require laterality for our clinic and that has helped a ton. The program will gray out the "ok" button until they pick a laterality.
