I have some general question regarding the EDI and Clearinghouse services through GE. For those of you currently using it what would you rate your general satisfaction and overall performance with this service? Did you use any other service prior to switching to GE? What issues or problems have you seen by using these services? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Our billing department has no complaints at this time. They have declined looking at other vendors for EDI. Satisfied..
We're switching from Availity- anything will be an improvement.
Allow me to share my 2 cents (for what it's worth). I used to work at a GE VAR (value added reseller) and I was responsible to transitioning clients to the GE EDI clearinghouse...mostly users from McKesson but also others too. The transitions went very smoothly and my customers were very happy with it. I am 100% impressed by the clearinghouse for the following reasons:
1. They provide analytical reporting on the CEDI website that is specific to your claims and remits. These reports are not otherwise available in Centricity.
2. They have a pro-active approach for claims monitoring to ensure your claims are reached and processed by the payor. There is even a "late payment report" that flags you if the claim isn't paid based on your claim history with that payor.
3. They offer EDI alerts that are super helpful to stay on top of payor changes.
4. The customer service is fantastic (Tina Felix is the best).
5. My clients saw claims getting paid faster than their old clearinghouse (an average of 7-10 day turn around time).
6. The CEDI website also helps you understand WHO rejected the claim (the clearinghouse or the payor). It is important to know this because it makes it easier to resolve. You can also copy and paste the rejection into a support ticket if you don't know how to fix it...the rejection has the ANSI loop and segment right in there.
I am in no way shape or form moved to promote it.....just sharing my experience and I can't say enough good things about this clearinghouse. Hope its helpful.
