Connecting to HyperV Win 2016 from Win 10 via RDP and attempting to launch installed CPS client.
IE launches and traffic responds with 200s to CPS DB/JBoss server but login screen never loads. Only a very tiny screen with no options for credentials. Other users do not have this issue or if they do, the issue is resolved if they restart the HyperV machine containing installed Centricity V20. NOTE: happened with version 19 as well. I ALWAYS have this issue. Guidance on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.
It may be the resolution of your workstation/laptop. We have some high resolution laptops and have to lower it to make it work. Try 1366x768 and make sure the zoom is set to 100%. Your will need to logoff your RDP session and log back in for it to take affect. We are on version 12.3.3.
It may also be the Scaling of the Windows machine your signing in with via RDP. Check the following settings on your Desktop OS. Assuming you're using Windows 10, check the following steps:
1. Open a run command via Windows Key + R (Win+R)
2. Run ms-settings:display
3. Under the "Scale and Layout" section ensure that your value for the size of text and apps is = 100%
4. Fully logoff your remote session (not just a disconnection)
5. Logoff and sign back into Windows (or alternatively reboot)
6. Try signing back in to see if this resolves the issue
Most of the time I've seen this in the past the username, password, LOC and login buttons disappear entirely when the scaling is over 150%. If you're using a monitor with a high resolution Windows will automatically scale that setting to at least 125%, sometimes more.
Let me know if that works (I'm curious). To me the screenshot does seem to have a slightly larger than expected Title Bar.
Good luck!
Is it a tablet in "Tablet mode" by chance? I attempted to use CPS with "tablet mode" and the login field it there but it is the size of a pixel so it is basically invisible! Pretend the username and password fields are present and login. You can type your username, press TAB then the password and then ENTER to see if that works. You won't get much further but it will help to answer the question as to what the culprit is.
I fought with the "tablet mode" stuff and I just couldn't get it to work. It was CPS 12.1.X I think.

Thanks to all who replied!
This was indeed a scaling-related issue. When I enter the credentials and hit <Enter>, I'm logged into Centricity.
I have a new laptop that defaults to 3840 x 2160 with a recommended 250% scaling.
I changed to much lower res (1366 x 768) and put scaling to 100% and started new RDP (I'm using the Free Remote Desktop Manger) session and all icons were much bigger but still no user name and PWD in my Centricity.
The target machine is Win HyperV 2016 with a Centricity v20.
I don't think I'll get this resolved but workaround with entering creds + enter is fine. Application looks good when it loads.
