In our training session today, we were told that in Docutrak/Biscom, when we receive a fax which may contain information on several patients that we cannot break it up in order to import a particular page into a patient chart. Instead, we were told we would have to print the whole bulk fax, then scan the individual pages in order to import them into the patient chart. Is this true? If not, what's the method for breaking apart bulk faxes electronically? Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure of the details, but our Medical Record department is able to break up the bulk fax while it is still a .tiff file prior to pdf conversion.
