Does anyone know of a way to flag/mark/color code the ICD-10 codes that have been updated in a patients chart? The coding staff has been having me correct ICD-10 codes in patients chart that are not specific enough as we come across them. They would like a way to differentiate the ones that have been corrected from the ones that have not.
We used the Comment field to make notes that the problem has been changed. It shows at the end of the problem.
i.e. Ankle ankylosis -- comment
Jessica - I agree with you. I think there should be a color change or notation on the chart summary screen to indicate that the problem has been coded to the best ICD10 specificity. The only way I know how to tell is pretend like I am adding an order to the chart, then look at the diagnosis codes on the order screen. The codes in orange are not to the highest specificity.
I think it is an enhancement request.
Just my thoughts.
