I'm looking for a report that would show us how a provider's schedule is being utilized. Here's the information I am hoping this report will return for a given date range:
- What % of the schedule is "unallocated" or not filled?
- What are the provider's most popular time slots?
- What are the provider's least popular time slots?
- By the #'s, each appointment type (ex: 44 new patients, 33 acute, 22 physicals, 11 unallocated etc)
Bonus information, if possible:
- Busiest time(s) of the year (or for the given date range). Least?
- Best/Worst day(s)/week(s)/month(s) etc
- Would be great if other providers could be added to get a high-level overview of a location or team
Such a report would show, for instance, that perhaps Tuesday mornings between 8-9 am are consistently unfilled. Or, perhaps that the location is the busiest during August especially on Thursday afternoons etc.
This would be very helpful when redesigning a provider's schedule, or for use as a conversation piece with providers.
Have you ever come across a report (or tool) that will provide this type of info? Thanks!

I started a series of data pulls to get to schedule utilization.
Getting to the un-used slots proved to be very tricky, and I nearly had it.
Then we started Telemedicine.
I needed to re-write the whole thing because the provider is literally scheduled onto 2 templates at the same time, and I didn't want that to count as a double-book when it was 1 appointment happening in two places at once. I haven't got back around to it.
I'd love to hear if anyone else has written something.
