Does anyone happen to have the complete workflow on how the quicktext works?

Create QuickText
1. Go to administration
2. Charts > Chart > Quick Text
3. Select if you want to create a global quick text for everyone to use or select a specific user in the View Quick Text for: drop-down.
4. Input the Replace, input the code you want to use.
5. Input the Content you want the code to be replaced with.
6. Click on Insert Symbol.
Use QuickText
1. Anywhere you can input text, for the most part, just input the code and press enter and it will replace it with the content you inserted in the administration setup.

Thank you so much for this information, how do I get a quick text within a quick text to work?

And Quick Text won't work in an Edit field but will work in a multi-line edit field.

You can embed a Quick Text in a Quick Text, but the user will have to put their cursor after the Quick Text code and press Tab or Enter.

You could also string multiple quick text together as shown below. Users would only need to use ".bronc" in this example. We use this to get around the quick text character limit.

Discussed with patient their signs and symptoms are consistent with Acute Bronchitis and 90% of the time bronchitis is of viral etiology. Explained how antibiotics are not used to treat viral infections and will likely have little to no benefit at this time. Also how recent studies show little to no benefit of antihistamines, centrally acting antitussives and ibuprofen. Recommend trial of symptomatic management at this time with the following;

- Trial of Tessalon Perles and Guaifenesin
- Cough drops
- Maintain oral hydration of 2 liters
- Rest
