I am trying to find a way to track certain users activity in CPS 12. I am trying to determine if certain users are logging in from home and working as they stated to me. I am kinda new to Centricity, any help is appreciated.
under reports - medlogic - audit reports you will find user reports that you can see the activity of certain users.
Do you have access to Crystal Reports? I can provide you with some reports that you can use to track user activity.
As far as logging in from outside the organization's autonomous network, that should be in your VPN, authentication, and terminal server logs.
Thank you for the quick answers! I found the user reports I was looking for!
Do you know if you have all of the logging turned on for your user's activity? A lot of organizations don't do this as it can blow up the Log tables, but our company insisted on this level of detail. Under Administration --> System --> Auditing (Clinical). You may want to make sure that you have everything in the "Log Audit Events" window.
We have actually decided not to log any "Chart Exit Events", finding patients, or printing or viewing a graph, but log everything else. We even have everything checked under the "Document level contribution logging" section, which is what can really increase the table size.
If you have these options turned on, then you should be able to track most of the activity of any user, as already mentioned in this thread with the MedicaLogic - Audit Reports. If you are well versed in Crystal Reports or SQL Reports then you can also build your own reports off of this information from the tables; check the different AUDIT_EVENT tables for this information.
