CPS 12
As of last week we are unable to preview/print any reports from the reports module (report mode).
When we try to preview or print a report, a box pops up saying: Unable to preview report. Please contact system administrator. Every user is seeing this pop up. We are unsure of how to fix this.
Any suggestions?
Thank You.
I am not a reports expert but I am wondering if it is as simple as your security settings. I know we have to reset our priveleges somtimes after a service pack or update.
I have checked security settings in CPS Administration and all reporting priviliges are checked.
Does anyone know where I can check to see if the data source for the reports module is correct or if the report module is communicating with the report server?
(Just a stab in the dark).
Is this a terminal server or fat client environment? If term server, do you have more than one terminal server?
I haven't found a way to configure the report module with a data source or directly check communication. I know that some reports that don't have reasonable limits in the query can take a long time to complete.
There is not an independent report viewer executable in task manager when I view a report, so no application is being called to display it.
You could use a packet capture tool (like Wireshark) to see if there is communication between the client and the server.
