How do handle the payments for United Healthcare Dual plans. The patient registration only has the one payer so when the primary pays the secondary responsibility could be transferred to patient in error. Looking for any suggestions.

Hello Mr. Eric,
When there are multiple carriers of the same name, as in your case, UHCDual plans, you might want to add a second UHC non-dual health plan to the patient's profile to handle any secondary payments and possibly ending patient transfer. Another option would be to stop the transfer of the balance by using a specific TCS for the specific dual carrier.
