We will be upgrading to 12.2 and CCC Basic 1.4 next Friday. In the release notes for 1.4 it mentions that prior to upgrade "Sign all chart updates before installation. If you do not sign all of your chartupdates, you may encounter the error “This document contains expression
language compiler errors. Do you wish to continue signing?” when trying to open
the unsigned document after installation. To fix this error, right-click the form and
select “Get latest version of form”."
We have some providers who may not be able to get that done (though they have known about this since May). A few providers have over 300 unsigned chart notes.
Has anyone else recently upgraded their CCC content and experienced errors with unsigned chart updates? I opened a couple of old notes on our test server which has the upgraded CCC content and did not get any errors but I am just trying to prepare myself for what may occur.
Thanks!!
Depending on what version of CCC you are upgrading from, you may not encounter much in the way of errors. It will only happen if the form or a function the form is using has actually been upgrading in such a way to throw an error. You may not be using much in the way of CCC forms that would be affected. We never had everyone get everything signed for any of our upgrades and we had relatively few calls with issues like these.
Thanks David! We are upgrading from 8.3.7.1. Fingers crossed the upgrade goes smoothly and we don't run into this error.
I would definitely try to sign chart notes. As a provider myself, I feel comfortable saying the providers with over 300 unsigned notes should sign them. Are you really going from CPS 8 to CPS 12.2? Best of luck - my other advice is paid support for such a big jump is well worth it.
