Is there anyone out there using Centricity (either one) for BH, Substance Abuse, etc, that is also integrated with other practices like internal med, family practice, etc.? If so, how have you kept information confidential? I'm aware of all the patient and document level confidentiality, but certainly, the problem list, med list, are not confidential. What are the roadblock you came up against? I'd love to have a conversation with you.
We have psychiatry and forensic child abuse examinations in CEHR using confidential document types. As you noted, the problem and med lists are not confidential -- we believe that routinely hiding psychiatric medications would present a potential risk to the patient because of a lack of drug-drug interaction checking. For a select population (health system employees getting psychiatric treatment), their medical records are on paper and they are counseled that it is their responsibility to let other providers they see know what medications they take.
