I am a new Centricity user and am trying to decipher what is "normal" in Centricity. It appears that our staff had been manually adding VIS sheets when a new version of the document is released. I saw that "handouts" were part of KB updates and wondered if that would include VIS handouts. I am not seeing them in our system, but I am also seeing multiple handout folders and wonder if I am not looking in the right place.
Thank you for any help you can give!
I do not believe VIS handouts are included in updates. With a few exceptions (i.e. influenza) most of them could go years if not more before needing updated. Because of this GE probably does not include them but it would be nice.
Yeah Centricity does not include VIS forms in any of it's updates. We got around it by making a form that takes the user to the VIS website: http://www.immunize.org/vis/
The user can print off as many VIS forms as they like, and they are all up to date. then they check a box back in Centricity to say "Up to date VIS forms given today." This way, we do not ever have to update the forms, as the VIS forms online are always the latest and greatest.
