I have been trying to install and use a Web Cam for capturing patient pictures. The acquisition fails because Win 7 (& earlier versions of Vista) will not allow the writing to C:\ where CPS tries to write the .avi file for the capture. I have not been able to find out how to redirect this file write to C:\Temp (or other) folder where we are permitted to write.
Has anybody been able to get around this issue?
thanks for any help.
Use a TWAIN capable camera and use the camera option instead of the webcam option.
This uses the users temp instead of writing to the root of the C Drive.
There was also someone that was able to modify one of the DLL's for 10.1.3 to use his own interface to work around this. Search the forums and you should be able to find it.

I have been working on this with GE support. I just got word this morning that they will make it an edited feature in a future service pack/release. So eventually we may be able to edit emr.ini and put a location there.
I don't have an enhancement request number yet but have been told that they are filling out paperwork for the request, woohoo!
