We are having troubles printing our prescribtions with a new printer we purchased. Can you let me know what printers you are using? We are on cps12. Thanks.

What kind of problem are you having? We have been using HP and Kyocera without an issue.

We have been using the Star Micronics TSP800 for years. It is just a little bigger than a receipt printer and prints one prescription at a time. We purchase special security paper for it and use a customized crystal report for it. The whole process works great.

We use Ricoh 5210 printers with a locked drawer and task-based printing via Citrix because we are hosted with GE. We had too many complaints from pharmacies about them not being able to tell if the prescription printed on plain paper was the original or not. We now use full size 8.5" x 11" security paper and print one script per page with the standard prescription report for WI. It is not without problems because Citrix printing can be finicky, but when it works, it works pretty well.

Whatever printer hardware you use make sure it supports something called "PCL". I have to pay extra for that option with my Canon and Kyocera printers so you would need to ask your vendor. PCL is what allows you to use a generic HP driver if you need to. We use HP5 drivers when we print from CPS, especially the PM side reports which were developed with Crystal Reports.

We are using Cannon printers together with an application called TypeHaus. TypeHaus allows us to print the security measures on plain paper. We LOVE it!

Can you tell me what printer drivers you use to be able to support your Star Micronics TSP800 script printers? Did you create the custom Crystal report or did you need GE to do it.
These are the printers we currently have and We are on CPS version 12.

Hi,
we just purchased the TSP800II, unfortunately they keep printing the wrong format even they are set to black mark (RX560) even set them to 104x receipt it uses 2 scripts, could you please email me. We are on hosted Centricity. Thank you
