We are going to start using signature capture sometime in January. I was wondering what type of tablets or touch screen monitors that folks are having success with? Thanks.
We have been using the Asus Transformer TF300 tablets with Android. I then put on a good quality screen protector and a Gumdrop brand rugged case. Each one has a stylus available in case patients prefer that instead of their finger. We use a home-grown android app that I wrote that creates a PDF of the final signed document and stores it under the paperclip in the registration module. Works great for documents like HIPPA, arbitration, and financial agreements. The one area it is lacking is that it's not able to pull existing info from Centricity to display on the tablet, so we still have to have them sign demographics forms on paper.
I just bought a new Lenovo Tab 2 A10 to replace one of my Asus TF300. It gets good ratings for build quality and the price is great. About $180 for a 10 inch. The problem I am having is finding a rugged case for it. Case options seem to be VERY limited for this model.

We use samsung galaxy tablets; 10.1" for the PM-type forms, and 12.2" for the ones that capture our HPI/ROS/PFSH. We have them mounted in cases from MacLocks.com and we put Kiosk Browser on them so that the only website the patients can reach is our VSC.
We are using a third-party solution from Phreesia using their software and tablets. It works great with CPS. Better integration with C-EMR is supposed to be coming soon.
Could our network guy contact you to ask how you setup the connection?
