I have a question. On your work comp patient's, how are you separating the visits for work comp from the individuals insurance visits?
Are you separating the work comp from the individual insurance? Is anyone creating a separate chart for work comp and a separate chart for individual insurance?
And if so, how are you making sure that the to our in sync on problems and medications?
The Case Management feature stores the patient's workers comp insurance for those visits. Using case management, you can then store the patient's regular medical insurance as active in demographics for all other visits. The workers comp insurance appears as inactive in registration but it is the one visits get billed to when attached to a case. Let me know if you want me to show you how this works. Many offices use case for Workers Comp, Auto Accidents, and sometimes even to separate dental and medical or other copay amounts while keeping the patient's regular medical insurance provider in registration.
That I know, but I am specifically talking about the patients chart and if anyone is separating it out into different charts instead of just being in one chart. I would rather do it all in one chart but my office is concerned that there will be mistakes if a chart review was done by the work comp insurance.
We will to be able to limit with a work comp insurance would be able to see an vice versa with the patient's primary insurance.
was there ever a resolution to this? we too are wondering if we should separate our charts out per claim. Its really confusing when there multiple claims and authorized MD's on one patient...
