Would anyone else be faced with the same workflow question below, if so, how do you handle it?
Does CPS have the capability or a “module” that would allow our providers to enter an “order” for any hospital or outpatient procedure that can get approved/authorized by billing department before the patient is scheduled for the procedure? This would be similar to case management receiving a specialty referral except this would be handled by billing.
You could get a Referral folder created and have the biller(s) in question have the ability to work the referrals sent to that folder and get the auth.
Something to think about, thank you.
I would like to ask a question.. how is your practice managing Case referrals?
For example.. our practice [multi-specialty group of orthopods] uses case management for w/c, injections, PT auths, and surgery auths. The problem we have, is that when I have a case with an expiration date entered, and I attach the case to an appt where the appt date is greater than the expiration date, I am not getting an alert, pop-up warning.
Have you the same problem? Any recommendations would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance!
