Polling the group to see who has the most streamlined workflow and/or software solution for when you need to fax a patient's medical record (multiple documents, attachments, etc.). The ideal solution? Select all documents you want to fax (including those with attachments), then send ONE fax out of the office.
We're Biscom/FAXCOM customers. The closest solution we have is to print the items to a PDF file, appending the file as more items are printed. After all files have been printed to the one PDF file, we send it out via our FAXCOM Client application as one fax.
This works fairly well, but would be easily remedied if CPS would fax attachments from the chart instead of sending the document said attachments were attached to.
What are you using?
Biscom/FAXCOM has another product called MultiDoc Faxing that allows you to send the documents/attachments to multiple fax numbers too within one fax. We have had it for a few weeks and it seems to be very easy.
Check with your VAR or GE about it.
We have developed a solution called HybridFax. This allows automatic faxing upon document signature of the document to set of Physicians, including selected additional documents from the document list and their attachments. If you are interested contact me.
Thank you, but we already use Kryptiq ENLI SureScript's Automated Clinical Messenger.
We're looking to send multiple documents per fax, not multiple faxes per document.
We use a product from Summit Technologies called Docubatch and LOVE IT!!!!!!
Would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the product.

We demoed their product when it first came out.
The product when first developed had a few glitches, but they have worked really hard to accommodate us and our workflow. The product has saved us so much time and so much paper. It is not perfect, but their level of service makes up for it in my eyes.
We have purchased MultiDoc and have had it just a few weeks and we are running into problems. The referral offices here require a Patient Profile and a copy of the Card with ours but Multidoc will only allow you to choose documents from the EHR side of CPS and not registration documents. Are you having the same issue? How do you access both?
yes, we have the same issue. No resolution for this that I know of?
Did you ever find a way to do this Sam? Curious if you can share what you did.
Thank you,
Maria Diaz
