I'm thinking of presenting twice in Boston. I there's interest, I'll do it! (My last presentation was "Mel in a Minute (or 40)")
1) The Database: What's a Schema? How to navigate and use the EMR Database Schema.
I'd go through the schema, showing how relationships work and are documented.
2) Excel as an ad-hoc reporting tool? Why not?!
We'd use the test database, and apply Part 1 to finding interesting stuff in the database.

Sounds like a really good class. I'd go if I am in Boston. Do we get to keep the interesting stuff we find in the database?

I've submitted to do the presentations.
#1: The Schema. I think it's worth it's own session, as I'm sure many people may not understand that before "driving" Excel through your data, you need the schema as your "map."
#2 Using Excel/Query to get the data..
