We are in the process of upgrading to windows 10 and with that we are having problems with centricity 12.0 and our rdp servers. We are considering installing the local client to users silently and get away from rdp servers. Would like some feedback on that from users like yourself. Thanks.
if cps? why are you still on 12.0?
12.3+ already have most of the problem with RDP 2012 and Citrix resolved.
I you still feel like Fat client is your best outcome, go ahead.
We have fat clients and we have performance issues. Older PCs that can also cause slowness with local clients which wouldn't be an issue with RDP. Most importantly, if the PC has any interruption in connectivity at all the client will crash.
If you're going to go with fat clients, I would recommend getting solid state drives for all of your PCs and making sure your network connection between the clients and the servers is reliable and fast.
