A question for anyone that is using visual signature capture. We have staff who sees patients in the community which they have to carry paper forms with them for the patient to sign. Is anyone able to use the visual signature capture software for situations like this? I have looked at all the posts about this software and it seems like the posts are referencing situations that are only in a office setting. Thanks in advance for any help.
Technically you should be able to use it if the device you are using can connect to the internet and then VPN back into your local network at the office. It may be a little slow but it should work.
The workflow proposed by ErnieT regarding using VPN is correct as long as you aren't trying to access your Visual Signature site through a thin client (e.g. Citrix) over the VPN. That is the recommended workflow. There is an alternative workflow that would allow you to publish your Visual Signature Capture site using https and would require a secure "machine" login prior to accessing other pages on the site.
