I'm setting up some letter templates, and have run into a problem with provider names. ACM allows you to use the following provider fields:
- Responsible provider (from registration, not the provider responsible for the document)
- Service provider (the provider you are referring to)
- Signing provider (Provider signing the document)
What I want is the "Authorized by" provider associated with the order. Anyone else run into this?
I posted the same question to surescripts because the TOC template acknowledge the Responsible Provider instead of the Ordering or Authorized Provider of the referral order. When you look at the snippet, the options you stated are the only ones available. I ask if there could be more options, they told me they can make this a request as an enhancement. I hope this helps!

I can't even begin to fathom why this isn't one of the options. Can I ask what you are using in your templates? I'm considering just hard coding the organizational contact info.
Not sure if this will help, but you can use the Name of the signing provider of the document in the template.

I have a question regarding ACM for TOC's. Did you all know that if the office visit is not signed 15 minutes prior to the referral order is documented the TOC will not got out to the specialist? Most of our doctors do not sign their office visit within 15 minutes after ordering. Usually by the end of the day of the next day. I was told by ACM we would have to go into the referral order and modify it in order for the TOC to transmit. Does any have a workflow regarding this issue? Or do your docs sign their office visits 15 minutes after ordering?
We don't seem to be experiencing this issue - although we do have a referral coordinator that changes the order status from Admin hold to in process. Our TOC's don't go out until the status is changed.
What are you doing in the meantime?
After playing around a bit, I've decided to store the ordering provider's name in an obsterm. This can be pulled into the TOC Message Template. For some unknown reason, you cannot pull obsterms into the TOC address page. Why would anyone want to do that?
