I am wanting to know what data standards are used in reporting for the CQM CMS 130 Colorectal Cancer Screening in CQR? For example, is there a specific date format, results, or value in the obs term does CQR look for to count toward the numerator of this measure? We have found a few values that were added to the flowsheet with just a year of the colonoscopy, mm/yy, f/u in 5 yrs, etc... I did not know if these values were counting toward the numerator.

I can't speak specifically to the measure (we don't report via CQR) but I can tell you about how observations work. Every observation has an observation date separate of the value. If someone entered the colonoscopy observation typing the date into the value, it will use the observation date not the value. Take a look at your data mapping to make sure it is not limiting which observation values count towards the measure.

We use the obs term "colonoscopy" and add a value of "negative, polyps, unknown" or whatever works for you clinic, plus the date of the procedure. This seem to meet the measure and record in CQR.
