We ran reports for the first time a few days ago and all of our providers show a big, fat 0% for the Stage 2 Core 12 measure - Patient Reminders. We have been running a query, selecting 'Send reminder' as the activity and printing off the letters from the Actionable folder since we upgraded the end of June. "Printed letter" is the only option we have in the "Send reminders using:" field on the Send Patient Reminder form although in the Registration form is continually updated with the patient's preferred method of contact. Is there some step we are missing? I am being told that we have to use yet another form but I don't have any idea what that would be. We would appreciate any help on this and almost every other measure! Results aren't what we expected for quite a few of them and even for the others I think I see some discrepancies. One patient name showed up in the providers not 'met list' for the visit summary and he had nothing to do with the office visit. He isn't the patient's provider, did not see the patient, and didn't sign the visit. But I digress....
Your logic on Reminders appears sound (at least according to the Release Notes). I did the same letter workflow with one doc yesterday, but can't yet check the data (Calculate button). I know that I didn't verify against the Patient-preference first!
Essentially, we all need to QA each item.
From the GE MU Help Guide:

"We ran reports for the first time a few days ago and all of our providers show a big, fat 0% for the Stage 2 Core 12 measure – Patient Reminders."
Same here and I followed the GE MU Guidelines. Not sure why it is not picking up anyone in the denominator?!!?
We did the exact same thing- I asked GE at CHUG and turns out that the functionality isn't counting at this point. They know it is an issue and it should be counting in about two weeks from what I was told. Your numbers will back count so I would watch and see if your numbers change. I figured I would wait the two weeks and then log a case if it still didn't work? Did anyone log a case already so I can attach my name to it?
We are still showing 0% on all our providers. Were told that it was because the reminders were not signed by the responsible provider. Is there some documentation out there about any upcoming "fixes" for this?

The method of contact in registration needs to be completed for patient Remiders to work.
