I hope no one is having the trouble I am currently having but I cannot find a workaround for the TOC measure for MU? I am still working on my HIE and saving the CCDA to the patient chart then sending out via secure message is not having an effect on our percentages.
If anyone has any ideas...any ideas at all....I would be grateful to hear them, please!
Thank you,
Suzanne - WHMC
The workflow for this is "ridiculous" according to provider. because of the 90 day provision we plan on claiming and exclusion for this based on actual number or referrals.
I know that probably doesn't help you.
Thank you for responding but you are correct, it does not help me but maybe someone else can use this information. We, being family practice, are just referral, referral, referral all the time!
Happy Holidays!
we are too, but we just don't mark things as TOC. wink wink
We use the Surescripts portal, but had an issue were it was not recognizing the address as a DIRECT address and this is what counts towards the measure. In Surescripts it will say [Direct] on the address line. I hope this gives you somewhere to look, best of luck.
When you say secure message, are you talking about direct messaging? If you are speaking of secure email then CQR will not pick up on that. Its the acknowledgement on the direct message with Surescripts patient portal that triggers the activity log I believe.
You can still meet the measure with secure email, you will just have to report manually. Maybe you could use inquiries to get your numerator.
Thank you so much! SO many responses. I really appreciate it! I understood the Direct email address and getting them from Sure Scripts but the calculations were not reflecting what we were doing. All of your advice has helped a lot and we are now seeing our percentages increase.
Thank you so much. Happy Holidays to you!
