Has anyone connect with GE on this and discovered their workaround? I was so fed-up with the up and down nature of our results in CQR with no support from the MU User Guide, and when I finally spoke with a GE rep, she explained the "workaround" for this measure.
-Any patient with NKA=F must also have NKDA=T (if they truly don't have a drug allergy); it has to be entered on the day AFTER the office visit in the reporting period; you then need to manually push these values to CQR (using Chart Reports--Export function) and then re-run your CQR reports.
Talk about painful. We have used the standard GE content for vitals and MU Checklist, so almost none of our patients have the NKDA value populated as the GE content does not write to this obs term, only NKA. Also - there is no mention of the need for this workaround in the MU User Guide...so frustrating.
Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and how you're coping.
