Can someone explain to me how this has changed? Currently our providers are viewing their images in the Pacs system. My understanding is that the Providers need to be able to view images that will get them MU credit. 30%.
Please. Any help is appreciated.
thank you.
In your radiology results is there a link to the images? I believe that is the main point of this measure... Making sure there is a reference to the images in the radiology report.
I would suggest you verify this measure still is necessary for MU 2 as the measures have been changed. However, the measure in its original state requires that the report have some type of direct link to the image itself.
Imaging Results (the menu measure, threshold 10%) was dropped, the only radiology requirement left is CPOE at 30%. You just have to make sure that the user that enters the order is certified, and marked as credentialed in user setup. There is no requirement for results anymore.
Yes we have a link to the image. Users are able to view. Thanks everyone for responding.. I am not the MU expert but they ask because I do all the setup.
Gibsonmi is correct - the requirement for image results was a menu measure and was dropped in the final ruling. The 30% radiology measure is for CPOE (not results).
FYI (related to radiology CPOE 30% measure) - we had our imaging orders set up as referrals and had to move them all over to tests to label them appropriately as "radiology" to get them to count on CQR.
One issue I would love people to comment on - we have traditionally had flags sent to the Order Administrator (set up in Admin) to our lab service desktop for labs, which are tests and procedures, and then to our referrals desktop for referrals, which used to be referrals. Now we are not sure how to do the flags since both labs and imaging orders push flags to our lab service (and no imaging flags go to referrals).
Can anyone comment on an imaging workflow that does NOT involve sending flags? How could we make this work?
Thanks, Harriett
