While attesting on behalf of our physicians I noticed that the EHR Incentive website now requires a "Performance Rate" to be included along with the numerator and denominator for CQMs. The MU reports in CPS do not calculate this value. I spoke to GE and the EHR Incentive Program help desk and received conflicting answers from each.
GE states that the "Performance Rate" is not required for Stage 1 of MU and this is why they do not calculate it.
EHR Incentive Helpdesk informs me that starting in April 2013 the entry of Performance Rate became a requirement.
Has anyone else come across this? GE suggested that we enter zero as the performance rate in attestation because there is "no minimum performance rate that must be met to demonstrate meaningful use." While this will allow me to finish my attestation it still makes me rather nervous.
The performance rate is just the numerator divided by the denominator in percentage formatting. That should already show for you on your MU reports. This has been required for all attestations since last year.
