Looking for feedback on using QSS for submission of PQRS. We are currently doing PQRS by claims and are looking to move to EHR reporting for 2016. I would like to hear other facilities pros and cons of using GE.
Thanks Virginia
Hi Virginia,
We used to use MQIC for our PQRS submission, but because it was transitioned out, and were not told so, we lost out on moving to QSS. So we had to use CQR to pull the data required for manual submission, however, this was a BIG MISTAKE as our NUMBERS WERE NOT RIGHT. I am completing an appeal report right now with CMS as GE CQR has done nothing good for us. I have built my own custom reports for CMS and PQRS as part of the appeal process to prove that we should not be penalized and all our Providers met all requirements. I am also in the process of talking to my main GE rep about this situation as we've been paying for CQR for no reason since it is throwing out bad data. I have learned from this, if you want something done right, I have to do it myself. Luckily for me, I do this kind of thing all the time, so I was able to easly create the reports I needed for the appeal, but GE really needs to get their act together with CQR as I hear from a lot of my clients as well, it is never correct.
acantu - do you know if there is any direction from CMS on what to do when the vendor created reporting software is insufficient like we are seeing with the CQR? Basically I am wondering if they have released any guidance on what to do and/or what you might need to show to prove the software is insufficient (I'm being nice using that description..).
At this point we are just documenting everything - all the communication from GE, the issues we've found etc - and hoping that that packet will be enough to prove why we needed to take an alternate path. I'm curious if you may have found some guidance on what else we can do or if you just doing the same thing we are.
Thanks
Mike
