I am using the following MEL to add a SNOMED order when a BMI is out of range ... According to GE I must also connect the appropriate DX with the order.
Below is my statement ...
{MEL_ADD_ORDER("S","PQRI","Dietary management education, guidance, and counseling", "","","","","","","","")} .... this statement gets my order added correctly, but I do not have the required "Attribute:Reason" according to GE. Can someone give me some direction as to how to add this to my MEL statement.
Attribute: Reason: Overweight | Overweight SNOMED-CT Value Set | SNOMED 238131007 Overweight (finding) | Potential diagnosis associated with Intervention Order. |
Attribute: Reason: Underweight | Underweight SNOMED-CT Value Set | SNOMED 248342006 Underweight (finding) | Potential diagnosis associated with Intervention Order. |
Any and all suggestions are appreciated

GE descriptions in the PQRI category from CCC Basic 1.3 are shown below. I think your description is too generic. I think you need to put the actual SNOMED code in the description and the word underweight or overweight in the descriptions too. Your question shows that there are different codes for underweight and overweight.
