We have a provider moving to another business and he would like to take his patient information with him. What is the best way to extract the data? This must happen all the time but I could not find anything.
Thank you for your time.
Check with your Privacy Officer before doing anything, I would require having the patients request their records through the other practice.
We export to PDF, but up here that is about all that people can accept - if they don't require paper. We probably print more charts for this purpose than export.
Steve
when you export to PDF what is your standard practice?
Is there a way to batch print charts? or be able to print to PDF all documents in one chart in one processes.
We are beginning to implement InDxLogic and it has the ability to print the chart or create encrypted PDF. I know we were printing (to PDF and paper) before InDxLogic but unfortunately my staff who handled this are at a conference today. I'm visiting some sites today so they may be able to show me what they did, or worst case I can respond tomorrow.
Steve
you can select all the documents in a chart and print them all at once to pdf printer by highlighting the first document and hold "Shift" and highlight the last document.
I understand we can select all documents, I guess what I am asking is when I select all documents is there a way to print all the documents to one multipage PDF? As it stands now we have to name each page separately and that is very time consuming.
Thank you.
Sorry for the confusion. I do not know of a way to merge the documents within CPS. I creates a separate print job for each.
With everybody back this morning I found that previous to InDxLogic they did exactly what cecild suggested.
