I made a modification to a form and since then it has been crashing on open. I fixed the issue, and everything works fine but now I have 7 instances of that form being open in a chart and I can't discard them because you must open them to discard them and I can't open them without it crashing CPS. Anyone ever have this issue? How did you resolve it?
I've had success pressing the fn+break key on the keyboard when opening documents that are crashing. You could try that and/or esc to see if it has any affect at stopping the functions while the document opens. GE also has a nice tool called Centricity Admin Toolbox that allows you to clean locked documents and convert a document to plain text without any forms. I think that tool might be downloadable from the engage site.
I'm assuming that if your visits are in the chart as a certain encounter type, that it might be possible to set the default action of that specific encounter not to open up in form view as the chart is opened by editing the encounter type, and setting the form open option to none. It should open the encounter in text mode first which might not run your form code. I'm not sure about visits that have already been started. It is worth a try though.
if you right click on the name and click on Get Latest Version, it will update it to the newest version you've imported.
Thank You !! Finally able to get RID of some In-Progress broken documents - using the <fn key> + <Break Key>. Even though the Centricity Crash error messages popped up when trying to open the on-hold encounter (by doing the fn + Break key multiple times) it finally opened the encounter instead of crashing the EMR. Was able to finally DISCARD those old documents. - Beverly
I am feeling quite ignorant right now. fn key? Which one, there are 12.
Did you ever get this resolved? You can set an update to "signed" using SQLPlus. Once signed, you can file in error.
