This has occurred with several users in my organization. Computers that have Centricity EMR Evaluation 9.8 Evaluation (single user) version installed, acquire a huge number (in my case several million) of files totaling 150 gigabytes (that's right gigabytes with a "G") under the directory
Program Files(x86)\Centiricity EMR 9.8 Evaluation\jboss\server\default\tmp that consist of THOUSANDS of folders each consisting of:
a top-level folder with a computer-generated alphanumeric name (e.g. a4ie52-10pkjg-j9d11u97.........) and subfolders named:
CentricityEMR.war
\calendar
\css
\dialogs
\flags
\help
\images
\lab icons
\META-INF
\mqic
\WEB-INF
These sets are of exactly 4 different sizes: 14.61MB, 22.18MB and 57.71MB.
Does anyone know what these files are and whether they can be safely removed (and which ones can be safely removed)?
You mean default/tmp?
Anyways tmp is where jboss deploys a pakcked .war, surprised the standalone version doesn’t come with a pre deployed war. /tmp deployments should be deleted when jboss shuts down (in a typical config). My guess is jboss is not getting shutdown properly because the are workstation.
but short answer, you can clear /tmp. Do some googling and you can add it to the start script if you want.
I have an Outlook task set for once a month that reminds me to go clear out that folder 🙂
Also you can clear out the work directory FYI
I’d say open a case with GE to get these simple mods added to the startup script in evaluation but I have literally never gotten a bug fix fixed.... hey how about those immunizations in protocols.
