We have occupational medicine and employee health clinic that have their own EMR. We are investigating bringing them up on CEMR 9.10 but need the records/data kept separate from our existing EMR records/data. Has any other sites tried this? If so, how did you accomplish using the same CEMR instance?

We had our Occ Health on our EMR for a while - all we did was create a new location of care which only this practice had access to. We did find that using the EMR was difficult for this office because of all the reporting that they had to do and it was just to hard to try and create these reports so they eventually got their own specific application - Agility

You should be able to use a SQL instance for this. Effectively it would be a separate SQL DB. I know instances were supported by GE/CPS because I had that set up a while back.

We did a remote clinic in a separate location of care at the University of Oklahoma also. Only the remote clinic employees had access to the patients in that location of care. All locations have access to the same content but the patients are segregated. You just have to watch your reporting and make sure the locations are kept separate.
