Good morning!
We're in the process of updating our history views to include some items from registration. The thought is to reduce some of our provider clicks by pulling some registration information in histories. The one field I get asked about often is recalls. I can't find MEL to pull this information over. I tried a few random guesses, but no luck.
Has anyone successfully pulled recall information over to a history view or a letter using MEL language or inserting a particular symbol?

what sort of recall are you looking for? I guess I am just not sure what you are looking for? Do you want to pull the patient's name ect into a letter?

Sorry, I was not clear on that. Basically we want the recall date, type, doctor & facility to be visible from the chart. Example, we put MEL language in histories to view the patients next appointment and phone information. We'd like to have the recall information visible from a location in the chart.

Vicky, you are referring to the Recalls that are booked in Appt Scheduling, correct so this would only be something that CPS PM clients would possibly using.

Vicky, have you found a way to connect the recalls in PM to letters for patient reminders on the clinical side. We have been using the recalls for years but when you print out of reports is does not add a copy into the chart. Our Cardiology department can print 500 letters a month, but they are not counting since it is not using letters/actionable........
Any suggestions?

On the EMR side, if you go into Flowsheet View, and then choose ALL to see every code for a patient - is there an entry for this for one of your patients that you know has a 'recall'?
If, so, then there may be some MEL codes for OBS that could be used.
