We have a lab interface that had a glitch and has now pushed duplicates of labs. We want to remove the duplicates. It will only let us do this by signing and filing in error since there are clinical list changes. Is there any way to get around this and be able to remove documents with clinical list changes without having to sign them? On one patient we had 18 duplicates. I just hate to take up space in our system with unnecessary documents.
I thought, and could be wrong, that if the status is unsigned you can remove it without signing. You may need to get into the patient chart to make this happen as you cannot remove from your desktop.
I hope this works.
Just for your awareness, this will definitely be a problem if you have Kryptiq SMPP/Patient Portal, as each of the filed in error entries will show up under "LAB RESULTS" on the patient side, which may result in additional phone calls to your practice.
I can't remove it even if it is unsigned. It pops up an error message saying "Can't remove the associated clinical list elements."
Our patient portal is through a separate billing system that we use. So we are safe there.
Documents can be removed by SQL script at the DB level but I do not know the process.
From my very rudimentary understanding you have to know each document ID.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
