Does anyone know how to dig this information out of the database? It would be nice if GE provided the scripts to run but they don't. The spreadsheet called "calculating_hardware_requirements_CPS122_5.24.16.XLS" has the following questions in it.
I need to know the following to proceed with 12.2 install:
1. percent of patient visits that will generate a scanned image document (I am assuming that I could see what I have now percentage-wise then guess that moving forward that percentage will not change)
2. percent of images that are library sketches or scanned images such as insurance cards, driver licenses Ids
3. enter the approximate number of patients with digital photos attached to their medical record
Thanks

Hi Mike,
I always put 100% in these fields to future-proof the system best I can. If I recall correctly, these impact the storage space requirements. Storage is relatively cheap, so we always go big on it. We're on a 5-year cycle for server equipment BTW.

That's a good point. I estimate my storage based on past history but I can not determine a number (or percentage) of patients with pictures with any accuracy without a script. I am just playing this game with GE for their purposes. I am not sure what they do with this information but it has no bearing on my needs anyway. If I need more space I just allocate it on the fly.
I opened a case with GE and they sent me another copy of the spreadsheet...priceless.
