does any body have the magical decoder sql script to enable the icd10 cloud based search, which apparently only the people GE cares about have been access to?
Thanks.
We're still waiting on a response from GE development on our request. With that being said, we have some serious concerns about enabling the HLI Advanced Search in production:
1. Still hearing reports from multiple sites that the search is pushing an incorrect code to the problem list.
2. Impossible to test strain on the JBOSS in our test environment,
3. GE is slowly onboarding organizations indicating their serious concerns about their servers ability to handle peak load (CQR anyone???).
4. The HLI search can only be turned on/off at an enterprise level (we have 77 remote locations).
The improvements to the "legacy search" are impressive. We are leaning towards going live with SP10 without the HLI and following developments from afar.
I had put in an SR with GE on Monday to get the cloud search/ HLI enabled in our test environment (with SP 10 loaded) to try it out. After some back and forth, this was the answer that I got from GE support this afternoon:
Here is the official GE statement about Advanced Problem Search as of today.
The HLI web service Advanced Problem Search feature in Service Pack 10 is turned off by default and requires manual activation by a programmer. This feature is currently being exercised by a limited group of production customers for the purpose of streamlining workflows and calibrating loads on the new web services. We except to roll out Advanced Problem Search to a wider audience with the upcoming Service Pack 11 release. Please note that Service Pack 10 includes over 70,000 improved search terms for ICD codes that are active without Advanced Problem Search. We hope that these embedded search improvements provide benefit to you in the core Service Pack 10 package.
From what I have heard through the grapevine SP 11 should be available next month.
wonder why they spent half of the webinar showing how wonderful it is if no one can use it
We received the same response as ematis above, sans the grapevine comment. Looks like yet another carrot-on-a-stick for us PAYING CUSTOMERS.
My sentiments exactly, petemarkey, one can only imagine they had serious issues once it was put into L.A., but that is no excuse. For the amount of money we pay for this product, there is no reason they should be releasing updates or patches like they do. They need to get the sales (webinar) and IT sides of the house in sync. We should never be shown a feature and it be advertised as coming "next SP release" before it's been vetted by L.A. testing--cart before the horse, guys. Especially one that had put so many customers concerns at ease for our provider's experiences with ICD-10 and navigation of the codes. Showing something "to come" is one thing, but putting a timeline on it is another.
They've been touting the HLI search since the last CHUG conference (where they assured that it would be released at the end of June). It seems like GE only made the decision to fix the "legacy search" when they realized that the HLI was beyond their scope.
Why didn't they fix it sooner? Seems like they were able to produce a relatively good search feature in short time. It is unfathomable that they have had 9 SP releases before addressing the issue. So frustrating...
I remember at the CHUG GE leadership standing up and committing that they had changed, that they would hit their end of July GA date for SP 10 with the new search. I also remember Jill standing up to ask them "What are the chances you actually hit that date?". Ah the memories.
ematis is correct the advanced problem search isn't available for general release in SP10. GE is working to roll it out in SP11.
The Service Pack 11 Release Notes says that this option will be available for everyone.
